Pin code is a number, which is allotted through the post office, the pin code of each place is different. Through which you can easily reach the city, district, village, of any area.
Pin Code History.
The Indian Postal Service of the Government of India issued a 6 digit postal index number, pin code on 15 August 1972. In fact, in a vast country like India, reaching all the villages, all the people, any goods was a challenging task. To make it easy, the pin code number was allotted to make it accessible to all the small villages and areas.
Composition of Pin Code Number.
There are 36 states in India with about 710 districts, of which about 892673 Localities and the number of Post Offices is 154796. Where the postal service has been allotted a pin code to ensure delivery. Pin code is a post office code system used by India Post. This code is of six digits. The first digit of the pin code represents the state of India. Which has been made from 1 to 8 parts, the number 9 is shown to the military post office. The first 2 digits together represent the sub-region. Whereas 3 numbers from the front indicate the district. And the last 3 digits are shown for the post office delivering the goods. Allotting the pin code number makes postal work simple and easy.
